Tell me about the festival.
Named for Grammy winning saxophonist and composer, Med Flory, the festival is a celebration of his artistic contributions and America's original art form, jazz music. Flory headlines Saturday June 9 with stellar back up jazz musicians.
Eight bands with performers from throughout the midwest and beyond play over the two day period. You'll hear everything from swing, bebop, big band, R&B, funk, Chicago blues, vocal jazz, and New Orleans style jazz.
Come dressed in your best 1920's outfit! We'll throw back to the days of flapper dresses, wide leg pants, long beads, and fedora hats! Modern clothes are fine, too, just not as whoopee!

How much are tickets to the festival?
Advance tickets are $TBD per session and $TBD for the weekend. (A session is one night, either Friday or Saturday.) Tickets the day of the show are $TBD per session and $TBD for the weekend. Student tickets are $TBD per session anytime. 2012 GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS GET IN FREE WITH A VALID STUDENT ID!
Where can I purchase tickets?
Advanced tickets are available on-line from this website or at Security Federal Savings Bank, Susan's Corner Cupboard, or the People's Winery. Tickets the day of the show are available at the festival gate.
What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine - no problem! The festivities take place underneath tents, so you don't need to worry about getting sunburned or getting rained on.
Where does the festival take place and how do I get there?
The tent is located at Little Turtle Waterway in Logansport, which is between 4th and 4th Streets on E. Melbourne Street. For navigation purposes, search for 400 E Market Street, Logansport, IN 46947.
Will there be food at the festival?
YES! Come hungry and enjoy a tasty variety of gourmet food priced right!! Both Cass County wineries will be on hand for tastings -- Indian Trails Winery and The People's Winery -- and the Cass County Roosters will be selling the local wines by the glass and bottle, along with a selection of beers. Non-alcoholic beverages also available.
I'm coming from out of town. Where can I stay?
Please visit the Cass County Visitor's Bureau web site for current information on where to eat, shop, and sleep while you're in town. Cass County has a lot to see and do! Make it a weekend and take in the amenities!
Who is presenting this festival?
The Med Flory Jazz & Blues Festival is presented by the Cass County Arts Arts Alliance, thanks to financial contributions by our 2011 major sponsors: Security Federal Savings Bank, The Andersons, the Cass County Roosters Association, the Cass County Visitor's Bureau, Cole Hardwood, and Scared Rabbit Productions. The festival was made possbile by the Cass County Community Foundation who from 2008 to 2010 donated over $28,000.

Why is it called the "Med Flory Jazz and Blues Festival"?
The people of Logansport and Cass County are proud of their native son, Med Flory. This event honors his artistic legacy and celebrates America's music. Jazz is a foundation of our heritage and we are delighted to celebrate it and pass it on to our children.
